The lamps are made from traditionally crafted shingles, formerly used for roofing. Combining the shingle with a light source creates a modern and unconventional composition for interior spaces with character, while also paying homage to architectural traditions.

SHINGLE big is the largest in the SHINGLE lamp family. Its distinctive and unique form showcases the natural beauty of wood, becoming an original element of interior design. It is a lamp with soul, produced on demand and marked with the branded logo burned into the wood.

The SHINGLE big pendant lamp is handmade in Poland. The wood undergoes an initial process of splitting, resulting in individual shingle boards that acquire a natural, slightly curved shape as they dry. Each shingle is then manually Wybierzed and coated on both sides with natural wax for preservation, while also highlighting its natural texture. In the final stage, the boards are assembled according to the proprietary design of Maria and Jacek Rypuła – architects and founders of Gie El – and equipped with electrical components.

The SHINGLE big lamp is characterized by its spectacular height, designed for interiors requiring a strong dominant presence and lighting with a unique, distinct character.
