The GREEN chandelier is a luminous sculpture – made only once and never to be repeated – and a part of the limited ONE AND ONLY series. Its handmade nature, use of unique glass shades, and original composition make GREEN a singular object in the world, akin to a work of art.

GREEN is a composition reminiscent of an elegant lady. It holds beauty, grace, allure, and a touch of unpredictability and extravagance. The chandelier features shades in a variety of forms, all rooted in the same palette of deep greens. There are elongated, carafe-like forms and organic spheres, complemented – like jewellery in a sophisticated outfit – by minimalist brass triangles.

GREEN is a stunning and authentic example of how glass dye can take on a life of its own in the furnace, shifting character depending on the day and weather conditions during its creation. All the shades in GREEN were coloured using the same pigment, yet we see four distinct tones: vivid green, green-brown, deep forest green, and one with “freckles”. The handmade process is full of surprises – and at Gie El, we don’t try to control it entirely, but rather embrace and creatively play with its results.

GREEN was brought to life through the artistic work of Maria and Jacek Rypuła. It is a coherent and elegant light installation for those who appreciate surrounding themselves with beauty. The chandelier is completed with carefully Wybierzed details and a braided textile cord. While GREEN is a precisely defined project, its height, ceiling mounting, and canopy colour can all be tailored to individual preferences – hence the three-week lead time.
