CLEAR is a delicate chandelier from the limited ONE AND ONLY series – a one-of-a-kind lighting installation. Its unique interplay of textures, unconventional glass forms, original composition, and handcrafted execution make CLEAR a truly exceptional piece – design haute couture at its finest.

This clean and harmonious composition is monochromatic in colour, yet richly varied in its textures and forms. Within CLEAR, one can sense the freedom of a summer morning – an idyllic vision of clouds lazily drifting across the sky. Like clouds, the glass shades of CLEAR are each unique in shape and air bubble patterns – seemingly alike, yet each one entirely individual and stunningly beautiful.

Jacek Rypuła on CLEAR: “What fascinates me about the CLEAR composition are the air bubbles captured in the glass. It’s incredible how a single air pocket, embedded in glass, can shape and diffuse the light. When the bulb is off, we see transparent air bubbles in a transparent shade – but once it’s on, the bubbles multiply the light, guiding it through the glass in countless ways, tinting it with the bulb’s glow. I find myself captivated by this detail.”

The CLEAR chandelier is finished with great attention to detail, suspended on cables sheathed in fabric chosen to match its aesthetic. While the composition itself is precisely defined, the chandelier’s height, ceiling mount method, and canopy colour can all be customised to suit individual needs – which is why the production time is three weeks.

Like all chandeliers in the ONE AND ONLY series, CLEAR is made from hand-blown glass shades whose distinctive shapes and internal textures are impossible to replicate. Created during the artistic process of Maria and Jacek Rypuła – designers and founders of Gie El – this piece tells a one-of-a-kind story of delicate, picturesque clouds.
