The PAFIL collection of lamps and chandeliers, to which the LAVA 5 chandelier belongs, owes its name to the material from which it is made. This material is called Pafil glass, hand-colored using pastel colors and with great sensitivity to the final effect. The LAVA 5 chandelier is a composition of five freely arranged glass shades, which shimmer with a variety of pastel shades and colors. Each of them is a depiction of a summer meadow. It looks as if touched by the brush of an artist, who pours an impressionistic image of a floral garden onto the canvas. The form resembling a flowing, ephemeral fabric, undulating in the wind, is the result of a deliberate decision by the Gie El designers, materialized by talented Polish glassmakers. LAVA 5 has been entirely designed and made in Poland. The production process of this chandelier is far from mass production and can be compared to creating art. Each color is handpicked and mixed, then embedded in glass and shaped by hand. Subsequently, the shades are manually stamped with the Gie El logo, which is an interesting detail and speaks to the uniqueness of the product. The LAVA 5 chandelier will complement well in spacious interiors with large volumes and space. It is designed for open spaces, such as living rooms with high ceilings or those on two levels. It will perfectly illuminate the space of round staircases as well as those with angular, modern designs. The advantage of LAVA 5 is that it can be freely matched to interiors of various styles. It will work well in both classic interiors, emphasizing their character, and in modern interiors, where it will contrast and become an accent that breaks the imposed stylistic norms.
