GRAY pays tribute to the colour grey – a hue that, in its simplicity, conceals depth, mystery, and elegance. Its composition combines smoky, delicately shaped glass shades with geometric, graphite-toned elements made from natural slate. The chandelier surprises with its rich variety of textures and forms. It is distinguished, a touch extravagant, and impossible to ignore.

Designer and Gie El co-founder Jacek Rypuła says this about GRAY: “To me, GRAY is a bit like Yin and Yang. On one hand, there’s a strong masculine energy – the stone tiles are heavy, opaque, suspended on steel cables. The dark, graphite-like pigment gives the shades an almost black quality. But then there’s also a feminine energy – you see it in the lightness of the composition, in how the shades, although dark, remain transparent, almost levitating. Look closer at the slate and you’ll see incredibly fine, delicate veining in the stone. For me, that’s the essence of this Yin Yang creation.”

GRAY was conceived by Maria and Jacek Rypuła as part of their artistic and design process, and like every chandelier in the ONE AND ONLY series, it exists in a single, unrepeatable edition. GRAY brings a contemplative atmosphere into the interior. Its glass shades resemble precious stones – quietly commanding attention without shouting.
