PISTACHIO was born from a spark — a fusion of form, colour, and rhythm through a set of unique glass shades. This chandelier is part of the ONE AND ONLY series, where every piece is truly one of a kind. It was created once — and will not be repeated.

PISTACHIO is a delicate interplay of shapes and hues. The composition includes seven glass shades in a variety of forms — cylindrical, organic, elongated — unified by a shared pastel palette. Six of the seven shades are made from coloured-in-the-mass glass, then encased in a transparent outer layer, creating an enamel-like finish. This technique lends a soft sheen and a gentle, milky glow to each lamp.

Standing out in the arrangement is a spherical form — MEDUSE — left bare without the outer glass layer. This particular shade was one of the first ever created in the glassworks during the early design phase of the MEDUSE lamp series. It is the prototype of what would become Gie El’s most iconic model, and it holds special sentimental value for the designers. For the first time, it takes centre stage in the PISTACHIO composition.

PISTACHIO changes with the light. By day, the pastel colours lead the way — from white, through greens, to delicate turquoise. When illuminated, the chandelier comes alive, like seven suns setting above an ocean’s surface. The pastel glass shimmers and ripples like a cloud of warm light, creating an atmosphere of calm and radiance. PISTACHIO is a peaceful fusion of hues and textures, brought to life by a multitude of forms.
