The composition of the lamp is the result of combining two forms, organic and geometric. “It happens that combining different shapes, volumes, or forms results in an unexpected effect. It surprises in a wonderfully positive way. We used the soft form of the glass shade and the completely rectangular prism shape in one composition,” says Maria Rypuła, the founder of Gie El.

Like all Gie El products, the COCOON white table lamp is made to order in Poland. The process of creating this lamp involves working with liquid glass and blowing it. Then, the wooden base is manually oiled. The natural oil impregnates and emphasizes the wood’s grain, exposing its true character. The lamp is completed with a cord featuring a manual switch, covered in textile braid in black.
