Gie El lamps illuminate London
Gie El lamps and chandeliers illuminate interiors in many corners of the world. One of these places is the United Kingdom. Our lighting inspires, helps create an atmosphere, and serves as a signature element in several London restaurants, as we proudly present in the article below.
Cherry On – lamps like cherries
A charming Notting Hill restaurant serves sweets, breakfasts, and lunches so delicious they come with a proverbial “cherry on top.” As one might expect, cherries and their blossoms are the recurring motif throughout the interior. They appear in desserts, on specially designed wallpapers, in the color schemes and decorations, and even in the lighting. Our small MEDUSE lamps have taken on the role of juicy cherries, with organically round shades made of thick glass tinted in cherry red, hanging from green wires attached to specially prepared boards adorned with blossoms. This delightful accent adds an appetizing touch of joy to the space.
Grilandia – a magical garden of lights in the city center
Grilandia is a chain of Lebanese restaurants with the goal of creating the ambiance of a Mediterranean garden. The main design concept was to install numerous pendant lamps from the ceiling amidst lush greenery. Here, the BEE lamps served as atmospheric lanterns: in some venues, honey-colored BEE lamps hung, while in others, olive-hued ones made an appearance. Some feature air bubbles embedded in the glass, while others are entirely smooth. These nuances differentiate each restaurant, yet the BEE lamps nestled within the greenery maintain overall coherence and a cozy atmosphere. This arrangement evokes the impression of a magical garden, inviting guests to step inside.
KHO KHO – tailor-made lighting
Inspired by the concept of Asian cuisine and a cozy interior, creating the perfect ambiance was one of the primary design objectives. In response, we custom-designed various lighting elements that seamlessly enhance the atmosphere. We crafted delicate compositions from amber-colored glass BEE lamps, an unconventional lighting installation created from robust jute ropes, and a spectacular chandelier comprised of a dozen golden cylinders. Thanks to its cylindrical design, the chandelier integrates exceptionally well above a round table and invites seating beneath it – as the number of reservations for a table “under the chandelier” clearly attests.
