Rust beautifully reflects light, giving a warm, pleasant color. Each individual lamp is laser-cut from a sheet of thin metal, undergoes machine bending, and is then exposed to atmospheric conditions. After the appropriate time, it is manually assembled with electrical components. The BIRD 40 chandelier is entirely manufactured in Poland. As architect and co-founder of Gie El, Jacek Rypuła says, “Rust is the new gold.” The rusty coating on thin steel is obtained in collaboration with nature. It allows nature to leave its mark on the product, slightly changing it with each exposure to external atmospheric conditions. It can be confidently said that the lamp is painted by the hand of nature. After obtaining the rusty coating, the material is protected with a clear, matte finish, making it suitable for use in interiors without staining or crumbling. The BIRD 40 chandelier is designed for modern and spacious interiors. The combination of the dynamic, rusty composition of the BIRD 40 with materials such as concrete, raw stone, natural wood, or glass gives the space a unique character.
