The MESH chandelier collection is a result of inspiration drawn from steel mesh. Designers recognized the creative potential in this material: “Designing is a process that has its beginning and end. These two points suspended in spacetime are difficult to define. The initial contact with the mesh planted a design thought that matured over time and grew into action,” Jacek Rypuła recounts.

The golden MIST 80 cm chandelier is a modern and intriguing product that establishes an artistic ambiance within interiors. The chandelier hovers in space on thin cords, akin to a cloud bathed in sunlight. Crafted from a steel mesh alloy of copper, zinc, and phosphorus, the chandelier exhibits a distinctive mesh structure that softly diffuses light across its surface, projecting reflected light into the room.

Similar to other Gie El products, MIST chandeliers are handcrafted on a small scale in Poland. This ensures each piece is unique and distinctive, unified by the craftsmanship and emotions of the creators.

The steel mesh collection is the brainchild of the design duo Maria and Jacek Rypuła. “We reached for woven mesh, captivated by its charm and flexibility. It’s a material with incredible potential that empowers designers in their creative process. We were enthralled by how we could mold and shape this material. The theatrical illumination of the mesh is the defining feature of the MIST lamp. The play of light in this product is incredible; it emerges from within, softly spreading across the mesh surface, subtly illuminating the space,” they shared.
