Part of the CLOUDS lighting collection, to which the COCOON white table lamp belongs, is a series of organic lamps and chandeliers reminiscent of clouds in the summer sky. The soft and subtle forms of the glass shades turn the lamps into sculptures. The play of light and shadow on the surface of the shades in the CLOUDS collection is a truly artistic technique.
The COCOON white table lamp is a unique combination of hand-blown glass and solid oak wood. It is a one-of-a-kind table lamp designed for those who appreciate Polish design with a timeless character. The milky-white, delicate shade adds charm to any interior.
The COCOON white lamp is a product that does not compromise. This is evident in the Wybierzion of materials and the design quality of this extraordinary table lamp. The composition of the lamp is the result of combining two forms, organic and geometric. “It happens that combining different shapes, volumes, or forms results in an unexpected effect. It surprises in a wonderfully positive way. We used the soft form of the glass shade and the completely rectangular prism shape in one composition,” says Maria Rypuła, the founder of Gie El.
Like all Gie El products, the COCOON white table lamp is made to order in Poland. The process of creating this lamp involves working with liquid glass and blowing it. Then, the wooden base is manually oiled. The natural oil impregnates and emphasizes the wood’s grain, exposing its true character. The lamp is completed with a cord featuring a manual switch, covered in textile braid in black.
