GENIUS 6 is an impressive, modern chandelier made up of over 90 raw mountain crystals in various shapes and sizes. The composition of the chandelier was designed to have the crystals suspended freely in space, with the outermost elements raised upwards, giving the composition a centric and symmetrical character.

GENIUS 6 is a mesmerizing tale of light intermingling with an unexpected material: the mountain crystal.
Designer Maria Rypuła recognized the potential in this raw stone and decided to create a product involving it, aimed at enriching interiors. ‘When I first laid eyes on the raw form of this stone, I was drawn to its natural shape. Unprocessed, irregular, wild. Each one different. I thought it was an intriguing product. However, when I shone the light from my smartphone’s flashlight onto it, I was speechless. It was like a culinary fusion of two ingredients. Both good individually, but their combined taste was remarkably surprising. The same was true for the combination of light and crystal. The way light penetrates the mountain crystal is mesmerizing. I knew we were in for an incredible challenge in creating a modern chandelier.’
GENIUS 6 is a grand, contemporary chandelier with a timeless character, comprising over 90 individual mountain crystals of various sizes. This cluster of crystals becomes a true centerpiece within any interior. Each stone is suspended on a thin thread wrapped in yarn. Light of varying intensity emanates from each stone. The stones used in the chandeliers shine like a starry sky, creating an intriguing, suspended installation. The light emitted from the stones adds an air of mystery to the chandelier, introducing a unique ambiance.
The chandelier was designed for minimalist and elegant spaces that demand a stunning, spatial composition. It was crafted for places like above an impressive dining table or in hotel lobbies. Its purpose is to build ambiance and introduce soft, enveloping light into spaces. It’s a product that fits into luxurious home spaces and commercial interiors.
GENIUS 6 features two separate light sources. Ambient light, which influences emotions and creates an atmosphere within the interior, emanates from inside the crystals. The second light source comprises small LED bulbs installed in the ceiling, emitting exceptional luminosity. This allows us to illuminate the interior freely. Both light sources can be used simultaneously or separately. There’s also an option for dimmable LED bulbs in the ceiling, enabling precise control of light intensity within the interior.
The sculptural character of the chandelier, natural materials, intriguing form, and local production reflect the essence of the Gie El brand.
