GENIUS 8 tells a story of the mesmerizing fusion between noble mountain crystal and light. As the crystal merges with the light, it absorbs and then emits it in the form of subtle radiance.

The mountain crystals placed within the chandelier are precious gemstones. Ancient Greeks believed they were stones bestowed by the gods. This is an authentic material far from imitation or mediocrity. It undergoes minimal processing, emphasizing its natural essence. A beautiful, raw product that forms a unique symbiosis with light.

Designer Maria Rypuła recognized the potential in this raw stone and decided to create a product that enriches interiors. “When I first laid eyes on the raw block of this stone, I was captivated by its natural form. Unprocessed, irregular, wild. Each one different. I thought it was an interesting product. Yet, when I shone the light of my smartphone’s flashlight on it, I was amazed. It was like a culinary fusion of two ingredients. Each one good. However, only when they were combined did we get an exceptionally surprising taste. The same was true for the fusion of light and crystal. The way light penetrates the mountain crystal is hypnotic. I knew an incredible challenge awaited us in creating a modern chandelier.”

GENIUS 8 is an impressive and modern chandelier. The composition of the chandelier was carefully designed so that the crystals hover freely in space, creating an elliptical structure and lending a classic, dignified appearance to the room. GENIUS 8 combines traditional design with a modern approach. This chandelier is akin to a sculpture of light, where light emanates from within each crystal. Each stone has an organic appearance, varying in shape, size, and translucency. The crystals in this composition shine like stars in the night sky—some brighter, others dimmer, giving the chandelier a mystical quality.

When designing this product, the designer focused on its ability to evoke emotions and enrich spaces. “When designing a product, I am concerned not only with its functionality but also with how it evokes emotions in the recipient. This product should be not only practical but also intriguing, a true sculpture in the space,” emphasizes designer Jacek Rypuła.
