The mountain crystal is a noble, natural mineral with various properties. It’s incredibly malleable and picturesque, an authentic raw material far from imitation or mediocrity. Processed minimally to accentuate its natural essence. For enthusiasts of nature and genuine beauty.

Designer Maria Rypuła saw the potential in this raw stone and decided to create a product that enriches interiors using it. ‘When I first laid eyes on the raw form of this stone, I was captivated by its natural shape. Unprocessed, irregular, wild. Each one unique. I thought it was an intriguing product. However, when I shone the light from my smartphone’s flashlight onto it, I was stunned. It was like a culinary fusion of two ingredients. Both good individually, but their combined taste was remarkably surprising. The same was true for the combination of light and crystal. The way light penetrates the mountain crystal is hypnotic. I knew we were in for an incredible challenge in creating a modern chandelier.’

GENIUS 7 is a truly magnificent and contemporary chandelier consisting of over one hundred twenty individual mountain crystals of varying sizes. The chandelier’s composition was crafted to allow the crystals to hang freely and organically in space, forming an elliptical structure that gives them a classic, dignified appearance. This chandelier is a variation on classic chandeliers. GENIUS 7 is a sculptural chandelier designed to evoke emotions and enrich interiors. Its spatial arrangement predisposes it to places like above an impressive dining table or in hotel or restaurant lobbies. It’s a product that suits boutique home spaces and commercial interiors.

‘When designing a product, I focus on how it will impact the end-user, what emotions it will evoke in them. Product functionality is crucial, but I aim for the product to intrigue and be akin to a sculpture within the interior,’ emphasizes designer Jacek Rypuła.

The chandelier has two separate light sources. Ambient light, which influences emotions and creates an atmosphere within the interior, emanates from inside the crystals. The second light source comprises small LED bulbs installed in the ceiling, emitting exceptional luminosity. This allows us to illuminate the interior freely. Both light sources can be used simultaneously or separately. There’s also an option for dimmable LED bulbs in the ceiling, enabling precise control of light intensity within the interior.
